The Only Lexical Database

I have been associated with XOBDO for the last few months as a contributor to Ao and Nagamese. It is heartening to see that more than 11,000 Assamese words have been added in its two years of existence. All this is, no doubt, the result of the great efforts put in by the contributors and those in-charge.
While the focus has been on Assamese during the last two years, we hope that the attainment of the targeted 20,000 words will also lead to a focus on the other North-Eastern Languages in a bigger way!
This is perhaps the only lexical database on the languages of the North-East and is as unique as its lands!! It is imperative that we work towards a comprehensive database that will serve larger interests in the long run. Kudos to all those working behind this venture.
